About:

Independence Day is the day when the nation got its final independence from the British rule. The day is celebrated annually on August 15, as it is when the provisions of the Indian Independence Act 1947, transferring the legislative sovereignty to the Indian Constituent Assembly came into effect. On this day, Indians wear the love for their country on their sleeves, and celebrate the day by flying kites with friends and family.

Independence Day is a day to pay tribute and remember all the freedom fighters who fought for the Independence of the country. On August 15, 1947, India was declared independent from the British colonialism of more than 200 years. The struggle for freedom of India from the British rule lasted for over 90 years from 1857 to 1947, witnessing the sacrifices of many brave hearts who laid down their lives for the freedom of their country and people. The Independence Day celebration is marked throughout the country with Indian flag-hosting ceremonies, drills, and the singing of the Indian national anthem.

It's a special day to celebrate independence and to wish your friends and relatives with some heartwarming wishes, messages and greetings.
